What I learned today!

My Mom and Dad are home schooling me now so I learn a lot differently now.

So yesterday while I was out for a walk with my dad and the dogs my dad asked me “do you know how to tell how old a tree is” and I did. If you chop a tree down you can see these rings and if you count how many thats how old it is. My dad also told me that vancouver is a rainforest !

Today I learned a little bit about the history of knitting and to tell you I’d have to plagiarize so I’ll give you a link instead : I did find some good pictures though.

So thats what I’ve been learning!

no. 1 My Sister The Vampire: Switched by Sienna Mercer

What its about (from the publisher)

When Olivia Abbott moves to town, she’s excited to join the cheerleading team and make new friends. Then she meets Ivy Vega. At first, Ivy, pale and  dressed all in black, looks like Olivia’s opposite. Then the girls looks beyonds the glitter pink blush and thick black eyeliner to discover they’re identical-identical twins!                                                                                                                                    Olivia and Ivy are brimming with plans to switch places and pull every twin trick in the book.  But Olivia soon discovers that she and Ivy aren’t exactly the same. Ivy’s a vampire. And she’s not the only one in town.

My Review

This book is about a girl who moves to a new town and meets this goth girl and Ivy (AKA goth girl) looks past her makeup and Olivia’s perkiness and find out that she has a twin, Ivy and Olivia are hanging out in Ivy’s backyard Ivy falls into a thorn bush and as Olivia is dabbing away the blood… there’s no scratch. Olivia gets suspicious and Ivy has to confess, she’s a vampire.

This book reminds me of the duo series called Trading Faces and Take Two because its about twins that have problems in middle school, one of them is a ‘bunny’ and one of them doesn’t like to draw attention to herself and is really shy.
